What this notice covers. How we handle the business contact information we use to reach the right person at organisations that may need environmental compliance, permitting, or digital waste tracking support.
Your name, job role, business email address and business phone number, and a record of our contact with you (including notes of calls and correspondence).
From publicly available or business sources — the Environment Agency's public registers, Companies House, your company's website, and business email-finding services — or directly from you or a colleague when we call or write.
We process it for business-to-business marketing: to send you relevant regulatory information and to follow up if you're interested in our services. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — our interest in reaching the right compliance contact, balanced against your rights. We do not use it for anything else and we do not sell it.
Some first contact is made by an automated AI assistant ("Beth"), who will tell you she works with Nigel at Innovation Waste Services. If you ask directly whether she is an AI, she will confirm it. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes; recordings are kept securely, used only for that purpose, and deleted after 90 days.
Only Innovation Waste Services and the service providers that run our systems (telephony, email, data storage) under contract. We don't share it otherwise.
Contact data for as long as there's a legitimate prospect of business, reviewed periodically.
You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time and we will, across all channels, straight away. You also have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to our processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
